HELP!
MY CHAPS DON'T FIT... (read the following)

Are you new to a pair of chaps? Often it is how you put them on that will cause a fit problem. Basically, you should buckle the belt first before you zip the legs. Buckle it at or below your belt line. Then the zipper zips on the outside back of leg.

1) THIGH IS TOO SMALL?

Be sure to buckle belt somewhere under your existing belt line before attempting to zipper leg.  If still too small, chaps must be exchanged. Consider expandable thigh chaps that  can offer you at least 2” more in the thigh area. Otherwise, write down the additional inches needed in the thigh and enclose with your return. This will help us get you the right size.

2) THIGH IS TOO LARGE?
If you can pinch more than 2 inches on each leg it can easily be taken in at any local shoe repair shop.  They can cut and reattach the outside seem or remove and reattach one side of the zipper to compensate smaller size.

3) LENGTH TOO LONG?
Simply take a straight edge to make a line and a good pair of household sheers and cut to length as needed.  It is common to have to trim off length for most customers.  All depends how you like to wear it on your hips.

4) WAISTBAND SIZE TOO SMALL?
Lacing in back of chaps could be let out as much as needed to compensate waist size. Jamin' Leather offers Chap Extenders for only $8.95 that will add 4-6 inches to the waist size.

5) WAIST SIZE TOO BIG?
Lacing in back can be tightened or overlaped and re-laced for a smaller size.  If still too big a local shoe repair can remove the belt from the front, cut excess belting and restitch to chaps.  Some shoe repair shops can add additional grommet holes on belt or back lacing area if needed.  Consider this alterations can be less time consuming and costly than the exchange shipping cost.
